Mammoth was founded by brewers that saw need for slightly larger and high quality equipment at a more affordable price. 

A lot of countries that deal with the metric system are more used to 23l batches. They wanted to design a line of products that could handle a slightly larger capacity than those produced in the US. They looked at the products in the marketplace, and saw this as an opportunity to improve upon previous designs while staying at a competitive price point. (Of course you can still brew 19L with Mammoth if you prefer.)
